Mick is available to transport horses from fire-affected areas to Dardanup Equestrian Centre, but can only shift one horse at a time due to the way his float is set up. 0407310968.

Nikki Harwood has advised that Brookleigh has room for horses and people and animals to stay and recover/recoup.

Bunbury Horse & Pony Club grounds open for evacuees.
24 yards, 18 under cover, with lights for night time arrivals. RDA adjoining paddocks also available to small familiar herds of horses. People on standby to help with feed, water etc..
Many offers of accomodation close by or room to camp at grounds if you prefer (supermarket and fast food 2 mins away).
All yards now have filled water buckets, access to hayroll and hay nets, and identification forms on each yard if you have to dump and run. Undercover yards are under lights for night time arrivals and there is spare rope that can be cut if you require extra security for escape artists. I can be contacted 24/7 if you need a hand with anything including arranging accomodation. Grounds are located directly opposite Hastie Road turn-off on the Bussell Highway, Gelorup. I have put a light on sign at entry gate. Gate is closed but not locked.

Australian Veterinary Association WA (AVAWA) are on standby with the vet industry response plan (to assist veterinary hospitals in emergencies), they have emailed the vet clinics in the south western and Peel Emergency Management districts, so far there haven't been any official requests for assistance just communication e.g. Waroona Vets and Murray vets. AVA can assist with resources.
Emergency vet hospitals such as Western Australian Veterinary Emergency Specialist (WAVES) and Murdoch Pet Emergency Centre (MPEC) are on standby to receive companion animals and Murdoch will do horses as well.
Murray Veterinary Services is more than willing to help the people of the Waroona and Harvey shires that have been directly affected by the Waroona fire.
They will be providing initial assessment of horses with fire associated injury’s at NO CHARGE then treatment either at no charge or at cost depending on the severity of the injury’s and what treatment is required. An assessment and plan would be made at the initial visit.

Oakford Stock Feeds - have a semi trailer ready to head down south, taking hay, feed and goods donated by themselves and clients. People can drop into Oakford Stockfeeders on Nicholson Rd, Oakford and purchase something to be included in the delivery or they can phone 93970296 and place a donation or sponsor a product to be included. Items sponsored include things like buckets, mineral blocks, halters, bags of feed, bales of hay or anything that can be of use to someone who has animals but has lost everything else.

Budget have special permission to get a truck through today and are heading to Murray Pony Club, where a vet on site is helping coordinate exactly what is needed.
Budget have raised over $5000 since yesterday and this truck load is going to be the first of what will be an ongoing exercise.
Most people are donating cash so Budget can get what is required for pets and horses. They are working hand-in-hand with Sue and Clint from Smart Stockfeeds in Bunbury (08) 9725 4881 who have created a donation account.
Donations are coming from all communities including groups such as the Greyhound Racing Association who gave $1000 for dog food Concise records are being kept by Budget and any profit from purchases will be donated back to the fund by Budget .
